Cucumber Yogurt Salad:
We call it Njoumier, a Middle Eastern classic, is perfect for cooling down on hot summer days. Enjoy it on its own or as a tasty side dish with other meals. It’s both delicious and healthy, making it a delightful choice for any occasion.
Servings: 4 People
Ingredients
- 1 large cucumber diced
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 750 grams of Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped cabbage
- 1 teaspoon of dried mint
- Fresh mint leaves finely chopped (add a few leaves for taste)
- Salt
Instructions
- Start by preparing the cucumber. Wash it thoroughly, peel it if desired, and then dice it into small pieces.
- Mince the garlic cloves finely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced cucumber, minced garlic, finely chopped mint and finely chopped cabbage.
- Add the Greek yogurt to the mixture and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Sprinkle the dried mint over the salad and season with salt to taste. Mix well
- Garnish the salad with fresh mint leaves for added freshness.
- Refrigerate the salad for a little while before serving if you’d like it to be chilled, or you can enjoy it immediately.
